General Pool Information

Admittance Policy
Children under 10 years of age, not accompanied by a responsible person 12 years of age or older, are subject to a swim test. Children under 6 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible person 12 years of age or older.

Cancelled Lessons
Due to unforeseen circumstances, a swimming lesson may need to be cancelled by the Recreation Department. If a class has been cancelled more than once during a session, the lesson will be made up on the following Saturday provided pool time and space is available.

Missed Lesson
If you miss a lesson, we are unfortunately unable to make up that lesson.

Medical Concerns
All swimmers with a serious medical condition should inform the Lifeguards on the pool deck before entering the water.

Pool Foulings
Everyone is affected when the pool is fouled. Babies, tots and those without bowel control must wear snug fitting pool pants. All participants should avoid eating or drinking too much prior to swimming and those ‘under the weather’ should stay home. Pool foulings result in pool closure.
