Recreational Facilities Reopening

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FRIDAY DECEMBER 31, 2021

TOWN OF MINTO, ON - The Town of Minto will be reopening all Town operated recreational facilities to the public on Monday January 3rd. The Norgan Theatre will reopen on Friday January 7th. All Town run programs such as public skating, shinny, walking groups and pickleball will resume on Monday January 10th.

As facilities re-open and programming resumes, the following changes will be in effect:

  • As of Monday December 20th, proof of vaccination is required for youth aged 12-17 participating in organized sport
  • Starting Tuesday January 4th anyone aged 12 and older will be required to present a vaccine certificate with a QR code (on a device or printed) so it can be checked using the Verify Ontario app
  • Starting Monday January 10th anyone with a medical exemption will be required to present a QR code to enter settings where proof is required (physician notes will no longer be accepted)
