Town of Minto to Reopen Doors to the Public, Resume In-Person Council Meetings

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MONDAY AUGUST 16, 2021

TOWN OF MINTO- The Town of Minto continues to keep public safety as top priority during the unique circumstances surrounding COVID-19. As we begin the next phase of our Covid recovery plan, the Town of Minto remains devoted to ensuring all safety measures are followed, to protect our staff and the public.

The Municipal Office will re-open to the public on Tuesday September 7th, however the space in our front vestibule is limited and in order to allow for appropriate social distancing, we will only allow 2 people at the counter at any one time. We will continue to encourage members of the Public to book appointments for service to avoid standing in lineups outside of the office. To do so, please call the municipal office and follow the appropriate phone prompts to reach the department you need. If you are unsure of who to direct your inquiry, simply press 0 and we will be more than happy to direct your call. If you know the email address of the person you need to reach, electronic communication is always a great option. All staff contact information can be found under the Contact Us section of the town’s website at www.town.minto.on.ca/contact-us.

The Town of Minto Council will resume in-person Council meetings beginning Tuesday September 21st, however because our Council Chambers also has limited space, we once again will be rotating through Harriston, Clifford and Palmerston Community Centres. More details on the safety plan for Council Meetings will follow as we get closer to this date.

As always individuals who have questions or concerns regarding COVID-19 should contact Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health at 1-800-265-7293 or visit www.wdgpublichealth.ca/coronavirus.

The Town of Minto wishes to thank the public for their ongoing understanding during these unique circumstances, and we can’t wait to welcome you back into our office.
