All Municipal Recreation & Cultural Facilities in the Town of Minto are closed until further notice
As COVID-19 spreads and Wellington Dufferin Guelph Public Health warns against large gatherings of people, as of 5:00 pm today, Friday, March 13, 2020 all Town of Minto recreation and culture facilities are closed until further notice.
This consists of all arenas, curling clubs, community halls, museums, theatres and town run facilities. As such all programming, both municipally run and third party rentals, within these facilities are also cancelled.
Currently, the Town of Minto municipal office will remain open and town business will proceed as usual.
This is a decision that will be disappointing to many and inconvenient for some, however, the Town of Minto is committed to keeping public safety as top priority in this unique circumstance.
This notice is in effect until Friday, March 20, 2020. The situation will continually be reassessed by staff and updates will be provided as needed through traditional and social medias.
Any questions can be directed to the Town of Minto Municipal Office at 519-338-2511. If you have a rental agreement for this time period, municipal staff will be in contact with you.
