2024-2028 Strategic Plan

The Town of Minto is a progressive and vibrant lower tier municipality within the County of Wellington with a population of approximately 9,100 (2021 census). Growth projections indicate the Town will grow to approximately 15,200 by 2051,

In the summer of 2023, the Town of Minto issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) 2023-08 for the procurement of a consulting firm for the development of a Corporate Strategic Plan, a Parks Recreation Master Plan, an Economic & Community Development Master Plan, and a Cultural Master Plan.

The Town of Minto is desirous of an integrated and multi-faceted approach to a series of strategic master plans to guide the Council and subsequently staff in addressing community-driven strategic priorities in several key service delivery areas. McQueen Galloway & Associates was hired by the Town of Minto to complete the four plans outlined in the RFP.

The Strategic Plan is necessary to help Council work with the management team to identify important town issues and opportunities; establish a common focus, outline priorities, and build an Action plan with ongoing tracking to communicate accomplishments to the community. The Strategic Plan commenced first as it will help to set out the key issues for the following three plans.

On February 20th, 2024, the Town of Minto Council endorsed the new 2024-2028 Strategic Plan.
