Minto's fourth Mayor George Bridge is following in the footsteps of his father Milton, Harriston Reeve for 12 years and Wellington County Warden, as well as his Grandfather George who served on Palmerston Council for over 30 years with 15 as Reeve.
Born and raised in Minto, a Norwell graduate George attended Ryerson Polytechnical Institute. He retired as Branch Manager Midland TD Bank after 30 years with TD Canada Trust. Over 20 years he managed branches in Fergus, Hanover, Elmira, and Barrie. He was General Manager of the Barrie Agricultural Society and Event Centre for 3 years, Chair of the Elmira BIA, Master of the Masonic Lodge, President of the Hanover Rotary Club, and President of the Barrie Agricultural Society. He is active as Vice Chair of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Canada Group Pensions, Treasurer of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Ayton, President of the Harriston Curling Club and Poppy Chairperson for the Harriston Legion. He and his wife Susan have been married for 37 years and have three children. His mother Florence is a long time resident in Harriston. He supports a business approach to local government, responsive and open Council and staff, and a strong voice at the County.

Dr. Terry Fisk graduated from Ontario Veterinary College in Guelph, Ontario in 1975. He returned home to Harriston to replace his father in the mixed veterinary practice he established there. Dr. Fisk has been involved in the practice since then using complementary and alternative medicine where possible. Ten years ago, he developed an interest in alternative veterinary medicine. He has since taken 2 extensive courses in veterinary homeopathy with Dr. Richard Pitcairn and has participated in a number of homeopathic conferences with Dr. Ed Schaefer in Pennsylvania. He has also had some exposure to Dr. Steve Marsden, a veterinarian that is board certified in Chinese medical herbology. He, ideally, would like to practise holistically 100% of the time.
Deputy Mayor Dr. Fisk and his wife Krista, have four grown children and two grandsons. Currently he and Krista are establishing an organic market garden between Harriston and Clifford on Highway #9 called Greenbush Heritage Organic Farm.

Coucillor Mary Lou Colwell was born and raised in Waterloo and moved to Minto (Harriston) in 1992 to accept a job as controller with Wightman Telecom. She and her husband Allen are the proud parents of five children and one grandchild (a second on the way).
Mary Lou's professional career has been in accounting and includes owning her own bookkeeping business, working for a major accounting firm and as a company controller. Currently she works part-time at C&M Seeds as an assistant controller.
Councillor Colwell enjoys living and working in Minto and has been on the Minto Chamber of Commerce executive for over ten years. She has also been on the executive of The Royal Canadian Legion and as a member of several Town of Minto committees including Strategic Planning.
Councillor Colwell is enjoying her term as Councillor and is looking forward to serving in this role for the next three years.

Since 1997 Councillor Rick Hembly has been in and out of municipal politics, including 13 months where he served as Councillor to the Town of Palmerston before the amalgamation of Minto. Councillor Hembly is an Acting Platoon Chief for the City of Cambridge Fire Department and has also been a volunteer firefighter for 25 years at the Palmerston station, Minto Fire Department.
Councillor Hembly was born and raised in Palmerston and has one daughter, Alisha.
Rick has been a sportsman all his life and is very interested in promoting Minto as a growing and prosperous community, which is why he enjoys serving as Chair of the Economic Development Committee. Councillor Hembly is also the recipient of the Queens Jubilee Medal for making a major contribution to his community and fellow Canadians.

Councillor Ron Elliott is a former Mayor of the Town of Minto, Mayor of Palmerston and Palmerston Councillor having over 14 years in municipal politics. A former Governor and now active member of the Lion's Club, Ron has worked tirelessly on the Palmerston Lions Park and other community needs. Formerly employed by the Midwestern Regional Centre.
Ron and his wife Elaine have resided in Palmerston for over 42 years and have two daughters Sherry and Rhonda. Ron also serves on the Norgan Theatre Board and Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee. Having spent most of his life as a player, coach, official and executive member in hockey, softball and other local sports, Ron continues to umpire with Softball Ontario and help with coaching his granddaughter's softball team.

Councillor Ron Faulkner is a retired Inspector from the Ontario Provincial Police which includes 25 years in management. His training includes; budget management, Human Resources management, and strategic planning. He is proudly married 39 years to Anne-Marie with three children, two of which are Minto Taxpayers. He has been a Minto resident for 36 years and has held various leadership roles in community groups including Clerk of Sessions for the Harriston United Church, President of Harriston-Minto Minor Sports, legion and curling club. He believes in the Town of Minto and wishes to do His part to make the Town of Minto, the community of choice.

Councillor David Turton is in his third term as councillor of the Town of Minto. He has lived in Minto all of his life and was raised as the second youngest child in a family of 10. This year David and his wife Pam are celebrating 33 years of marriage. They are very proud parents of three children; Brooks, Jessica and Paige. Brooks lives in Guelph and has worked hard to receive his P.Eng/MBA. Their daughter Jessica is a teacher with Upper Grand District School Board and lives in Palmerston with her husband Tim Meulensteen. Their daughter Paige attends the Untiversity of Western Ontario and is currently in her third year of her Science Degree.
Councillor Turton is a 23 year employee at Rothsay, Maple Leaf Foods as the Maintenance Manager/Chief Engineer. He also has two trade tickets; First Class Power Engineer and Millwright. Councillor Turton also has his Green Belt in Six Sigma which is a business management strategy. 
Presently David is an Elder/Trustee with the Harriston United Church, President of the Palmerston Marlin's Ladies PWSA Association, member of K-40 Club and Member of Harriston Masonic Lodge. He is also the Past President of the Harriston Kinsmen Club and K-40 Club and is a past member of school council. Over the past 25 years, Councillor Turton has coached minor baseball and hockey.

In 1997 Wellington County Councillor Mark MacKenzie was first elected as Councillor & then Deputy Mayor for the Town of Minto serving on various boards and committees. Currently he is the Wellington County councillor representing Ward 1, the Town of Minto. He is also a board director on the Saugeen Valley Conservation for the Town of Minto, Chairman of the Wellington County Library Board, Museum & Achives and on the Wellington Terrace committees. He was also the Co-chair of Minto's 150 anniversary celebration and helped to re-establish bonds with our sister municipality "Minto, North Dakota."
Mark was raised in Harriston and is a proud resident of the Town of Minto with ancestral roots dating back to 1853. He and partner Candace have two children Lisa (McGarroch) & Leigh along with three grandchildren.
County Councillor Mark is a graduate of Norwell District Secondary School and of Conestoga College. His post secondary accreditations include: drafting, business management, and recreation facilities management. Mark's work history includes being a personnel administrator for RCA Ltd., and the recreation facilities manager for the Township of Wellington North. In his down-time, Mark enjoys training & racing standardbred horses, fishing, golfing, pool and being an amature genealogist/historian following in his parents path. He actively lobbys the MRN to improve our local fisheries and also enjoys volunteering for various projects in the Town of Minto. Mark is a proud member of the Harriston Legion branch 296, as well as the Harriston and Clifford Historical Society's. He believes "working to improve our community and addressing the challenges is very rewarding"
